The standard hopper that comes with the Fellow Opus is great, but we have had trouble with beans getting stuck, not entering the grinder.. So we fixed it!
This new top hat for your Opus is designed to reduce the overall size of the grinder, while offering a direct path to the burrs. This sits the coffee beans directly on top of the burrs, with no chance of them sitting in the hopper or getting caught on the way down.
Please be aware that this top hat allows the burrs to be accessed while the grinder is running. Whilst difficult to do, it is possible, so please be thoughtful of little hands that might go wandering.
This product is 3d printed in PLA, while 3d printed items should not be used for food storage, the grinder top hat only contacts the beans pre-grind, with no chance of any food scraps getting caught in the layers of the print. If your grinder spends most of it's time in sunlight, you may see some slight deformation over time. If this is a concern, get in touch! We have plenty of other materials to choose from.
